水墨,一直以来是传统中国画的核心价值所在,是最具东方特色的审美样式,它承载着艺术家情感的宣泄和精神的追求。

一千多年来,无数先辈创造了各路出神入化的风气和境界。而今天,艺术家应炜利用数字技术将中国水墨的文脉传承带入到了一个全新的维度。他打破了一直以来二维平面的空间局限,用数字分形运算对传统水墨书法进行了全新的演绎,远远超越了我们对水墨固有样式的认知和想象,把“气韵生动”四个字发挥到了淋漓尽致,我们体会到了在这个科技时代,所谓“道法自然”的真正力量——来自数学的美!

这样的作品仿佛来自更高维度的空间,让我们想起电影《降临》中外星人的墨迹文字。层层叠叠无穷无尽的细节里,似乎蕴含更高维度的神秘信息,这正是应炜创造的立体水墨的真正魅力所在。“没想到一个维度的提升,竟然带来的是无穷变化的可能!”应炜说,“我一直以来就喜欢液体的状态,我曾经做过一个公司,就叫液态影视公司,凝固液体是我渴望的美……在这里,时间停滞,刹那成为永恒!”

这种漂浮在空间中的立体笔墨痕迹,正是源于应炜对数字技术与水墨书法美学多年的执着探索,解构和重建了已经一千多年的传统绘画,让几乎僵化的东方审美焕发出崭新的魅力。这种全新的视觉样式模糊了中国画、书法和数字技术之间的界限,挑战观众对于传统笔墨样式的审美经验,重新理解了书法线条笔迹的物化形态,表现出匪夷所思的形体姿态、情感意兴和气势能量,让人体会到一种独与天地精神相往来的孤独而强悍的生命力!

Ink and wash has always been the core value of traditional Chinese painting, and it is one aesthetic style that best represents Oriental character. It carries the artist's emotional venting and spiritual pursuit. For more than a thousand years, countless ancestors have created various surpurb culture and realm. Today, artist Yin Wei uses digital technology to bring the cultural heritage of Chinese ink and wash to a new dimension. He broke the space limitation of the two-dimensional plane in the past, and used the mathematical fractal operation to perform a new interpretation of the traditional ink-and-wash calligraphy far beyond our understanding and imagination of traditional ink painting styles, the words “vivid and lively” were exerted to the fullest extent. Incisively, we realized that in this era of science and technology, the true power of the so-called "Taoist Nature" - from the beauty of mathematics!
Such works seem to come from a higher dimension of space, reminding us of the ink characters of aliens in the movie "Advent." In the endless layers of detail, it seems to contain a higher dimension of mystery information, which is exactly the true charm of three-dimensional ink painting created by Yin Wei. "I didn't think that the promotion of a dimension would bring endless changes!" said Yin Wei. "I always like the state of liquids. I once had a company and I called it liquid film company. The solidified liquid is what I have been longing for beauty... Here, the time is stagnant and the moment becomes eternal!"
This kind of three-dimensional ink traces that float in space derives from Yin Wei's persistent exploration of digital technology and ink and wash calligraphy aesthetics for many years, deconstructing and reconstructing Chinese traditional paintings that have been in existence for more than a thousand years, allowing an almost rigid oriental aesthetic becoming charm again. This new visual style blurs the boundaries between Chinese paintings, calligraphy and digital technology, challenges the audience's aesthetic experience of traditional brush and ink styles, re-interprets the materialized forms of handwriting strokes, and displays bizarre poses, emotions, and momentum.  Allowing people to sense a solitary and powerful vitality that is uniquely connected with the spirit of heaven and earth. It is exactly this point that Yin Wei has broken the evasion of literary paintings from the past, and you will realize a kind of cosmic energy in the “Ink and Spirit”, an endless stream of vitality! And aren't each of us exactly this vitality itself? What we see from works of art is actually our own!
