HOME    WORDS

The greatness of science lies in the discovery of ignorance, and the greatness of art lies in the discovery of meaning!

I refused to pursue the so-called "beauty" long before. I think the traditional aesthetic is superficial and mediocre. I have been trying to abandon all the traditional habits, looking for a new way to see the world, trying to construct a new world view of my own -- an independent philosophical space.

In my work, I found that the unique way of 3d model processing would definitely break the thinking stereotype of traditional painting and sculpture and produce unexpected effects. When I tried to create in a cynical, dada-like way ---rejecting all the techniques and patterns of traditional sculpture, giving up all human control, and completely using unplanned computer experiments with fractal geometry formulas -- a magical world appeared! This is a completely new field. Changing one value of the curve arbitrarily, or adding some random variables, unpredictable changes will appear. In the chaotic fractal world of mathematics, you can feel a certain will flows freely.

Starting from the meta-form, mathematical graphics algorithm can grow far beyond the model structure of the human imagination, showing a very high energy density, in the traditional Chinese aesthetic view, it is completely natural! I'm the god of dice here! I don't know them. I'm just watching, I'm just surprised, I'm just playing, I'm just discovering... I didn't create it. This seems to be what Lao tzu said when he was doing nothing - only by doing nothing and aiming for nothing can he see the truth! I realize that our subjective will prevents us from reaching the real world. Kant says the thing in itself is unknowable, but isn't the thing in itself there? You don't need to know! You are!

You don't have to really understand what art is, you don't have to know what the birds are singing, why the sunset is so gorgeous, "the world is beautiful without words!" It just exists. According to the principle of eternal matter, every atom of our body comes from the stardust. Human beings are not external observers of the universe. We are all part of the operation of the universe.

A lot of people say your pieces are beautiful, but the interesting thing is that I never wanted to create a beautiful piece. All I can say again and again is that I didn't make art as a decoration for a boring life -- they're just so natural that it doesn't matter how beautiful or ugly they are. The interesting thing is not that they are good-looking and interesting. Only because they are really interesting, are really has the esthetic value! You can even see a classical or national traditional style, which is really worth thinking.

The model created by mathematical method has a mysterious mathematical beauty generated iteratively from a high-dimensional perspective, which makes people feel that it contains a mysterious power. I don't know if it has touched upon the essence of existence -- what matters is not how the world exists, but that it exists at all! It's not just beautiful, it's true! It gave me a whole new understanding of beauty!

I realized that there was a rule, a logic, a pattern in the universe that could connect with the human instinct. This human power, independent of human beings, seems to be conscious. It's not as if you're looking at it, but it's looking at you, at the life on earth -- the trees, the flowers, the conches, the molecular crystals of the snowflakes... We always think we see beauty in nature, but in fact it is the secret code of the universe. And we ourselves are some kind of creations of these codes! The living will is omnipresent, omnipresent, and endless...Heaven is on earth.

In the Buddhist art, we can see some mandala patterns -- the centers, ashrams or altars that maintain energy in the tantric tradition, and are used to express the changing rules of the universe, the order and harmony of the universe -- and the mathematical figures have such a religious mystique. Buddhism and fractal mathematics have a common holographic cosmology. The universe is a self - driven dynamic equilibrium system with no beginning and no end. Just like a living body, an infinitely complex neural network, it has vigorous vitality just like human beings, which is what Schopenhauer called the living will. In this holographic cosmology, I am the world itself.

Why do humans seek harmony? Order? Need beauty? That is, when we are in harmony with the cosmic frequency of information transmission, we will feel the joy of the mind. Isn`t this interconnectedness of human beings the very home of the unseen mind that we seek? Mathematical algorithms may be able to take us to higher dimensions, generate wider links, and see deeper meaning!

What I want to do is to find the original pattern of these universes, to liberate people from the traditional rationalism and the suppression of social order, and to explore the most primitive life will, rather than being limited by human instinct. Human beings are only natural phenomena, we do not only belong to human beings, we and every grain of sand all from the stars, belong to the entire universe! We need to get out of our narrow humanity and the arrogance of humanism, and go beyond our own empirical limitations, beyond the subjective world, to the world of the thing itself that we cannot perceive. To be enlightened like the Buddha is the only way to the true freedom!
